Make a winning start on Casual Peach

CASUAL PEACH reads like a banker for Saturday's Reggae 6 opener at six furlongs, no match for a sound LION OF EKATI and down-in-class HEROINE at a mile on September 6.

Though outclassed by LION OF EKATI and HEROINE, CASUAL PEACH was far from disgraced in her bid for back-to-back wins, sound as a bell at age nine, beating BAD INVESTMENT and LAST DANCE at six and a half furlongs in her previous race.

Returning on a $350,000 claim tag, CASUAL PEACH's lone threat could be AMAD ALI. However, both horses changed hands at the claim box last time out. Whereas CASUAL PEACH is a bit of a barn-traveller, AMAD ALI had never left Errol Subratie's barn, suggesting it is taking a while for the six-year-old's new handlers to figure him out since claimed three months ago.

ALCHEMY OF SOULS, a photo-finish loser of the Winston Griffiths Classic to Jamaica Derby third-place PRETTY PERFECT, should have no problems dispatching non-winners of two races in the second event at nine furlongs, setting up what should be a second Reggae 6 banker before spreading bets in the third.

Though KING PYE had won impressively at nine furlongs and 25 yards, beating BRENDA BOY and MACK AND ROME on August 30, he didn't have the same kick on September 13 at seven and a half furlongs.

BRENDA BOY, who turned the tables on KING PYE, finishing fast behind OIL MACHINE and TRAIN OF THOUGHT on September 13, is an enticing consideration for a banker. However, take no chances with an event in which MACK AND ROME could report as a lone speed. In addition, TRAIN OF THOUGHT could also be a dangerous prospect, having confirmed improvement by putting up a good fight against OIL MACHINE.

SIR DON, an American first-timer sired by 2019 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile winner, Spun To Run, should beat his two-year-old peers in the fourth at four furlongs straight after clocking 58.0 for five furlongs straight last Sunday morning.

ENTHUSIASTIC should win the day's next blink sprint, taking on three-year-old maidens at four furlongs straight, a banker which should allow bettors to close the Reggae 6 strong with SHE'S MYHEDGEFUND, MANNY SLAM, JUSTIN BIDEN, CHARMING SOUND and SIR JOHN.
